The following message was released by Deputy Judge Advocate General for Reserve Affairs and Operations Rear Adm. Janet R. Donovan. 

On behalf of the Reserve Law Program, please join us in congratulating our newest Reserve Chief Petty Officer Selectees:

Chief Petty Officer Select Annessa Clark joined the Navy in 2000 through the Advanced Paygrade Program. In 2007, she reaffiliated with the Reserves as a Legalman. She is attached to the Navy Reserve Region Legal Service Office Midwest at NOSC Chicago, Great Lakes, IL. She is currently serving on ADT orders at the Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/FOURTH Fleet, Mayport, FL in the office of the Staff Judge Advocate. In her civilian career, she is a Veterans Service Representative for Veteran Affairs Benefits Administration.

Chief Petty Officer Legalman (SW) Select Gorgonia Cueto joined the Navy in 1997 and graduated from Naval Justice School in 1999. She affiliated with the Reserves in 2005-2007 and again in 2012. She is attached to the Navy Reserve CNIC Mobilization Detachment at NOSC San Diego, CA. She recently returned from a two year mobilization at Camp Lemonier, Djibouti where she served as the Command Paralegal for the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa. In her civilian career, she is employed as a paralegal at the Naval Hospital at Camp Pendleton, CA.

Chief Petty Officer Legalman (EXW/AW) Select Jeremy Smith joined the Navy in 2000 and served eight years on Active Duty. In 2008, he enlisted in the Reserves as a Legalman. He is attached to the Navy Reserve Region Legal Service Office Mid-Atlantic at NOSC Norfolk, VA as the Leading Petty Officer. Currently, he is on his second year of an Individual Augmentation with the Office of Military Commission serving as the Pre/Post-Trial Administrative Non- Commission Officer (NCO) in Alexandria, VA.

These three outstanding Sailors and Legalmen have risen from the ranks through their strong determination and dedication to the Navy. Our newly selected Chief Petty Officers are ready to assume a new level of leadership in our Community. We can all be proud of their accomplishments and their selection!
