Region legal Service Office Japan partnered with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and US Embassy personnel for a naturalization ceremony in Yokosuka, Japan.

Led by Lt. Cmdr. Brandi Orton, the Region Legal Service Office Japan Legal Assistance Department flawlessly executed every aspect of a ceremony.  In addition to providing 30 new Americans with a very meaningful event, this doubled as a significant client service event to many forward deployed naval forces families.   The ongoing partnership with USCIS and U.S. Embassy personnel from State Department resulted in their willingness to set up shop in the same facility right after the ceremony to provide over 300 same-day legal assistance services that would have ordinarily required a trip by our families to Tokyo at their personal expense.
