Judge Advocate General Nomination

By Vice Adm. Nanette M. DeRenzi

The following message was released by Judge Advocate General of the Navy Vice Adm. Nanette M. DeRenzi Please join me in congratulating Rear Admiral James W. Crawford, III, JAGC, U.S. Navy, on his nomination by the President to be our next Judge Advocate General of the Navy and for his appointment to the grade of vice admiral. Rear Admiral Crawford has served with distinction as Deputy Judge Advocate General of the Navy and Commander, Naval Legal Service Command since 2012, and his talents and experience make him the perfect choice to be the next senior military counsel to the Secretary of the Navy and Chief of Naval Operations as well as leader of the JAG Corps. Alongside our next Deputy Judge Advocate General, Captain John Hannink, JAGC, U.S. Navy, the Navy and the JAG Corps could not ask for a better team of qualified officers and proven leaders to guide our corps in to the future. Congratulations to Rear Admiral Crawford!
