IG Inspection Coordinators

By Navy JAG Corps Public Affairs

Deputy Judge Advocate General Rear Adm. John Hannink -- alongside Capt. Gary Sharp, chief of staff of Naval Legal Services Command (NLSC) -- recently recognized three Sailors for their outstanding support during the Naval Inspector General inspection that took place in December 2016. Lt. Cmdr. Chris Swain, Lt. John White and Chief Legalman Karetta Bobbitt helped facilitate the routine inspection of NLSC, which was productive and yielded recommendations that will improve operations.

After presenting the awards, Hannink spoke to the crowd gathered about the importance of the inspection and the positive progress already underway because of their findings. Hannink also thanked all NLSC members for their contributions which ensured a successful inspection. Swain received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

"Lt. Cmdr. Swain displayed unparalleled dedication and commitment by performing hundreds of quality assurance examinations on products from more than 40 military programs and five core mission areas," said Hannink. "His leadership laid the foundation for sustained mission accomplishment."

White received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal.

"Lt. White created and managed a command-wide sharepoint page to intake, organize, and present hundreds of pages of documentation through multiple updates and reports," said Hannink.

Bobbitt received a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. "Chief Bobbitt expertly organized reviews of more than 40 military programs and five core mission areas, " said Hannink.  "Her drive, attention to detail, and leverage of knowledge management resources contributed to the inspection's resounding success."
