Have you considered serving as a Navy legalman?

By Navy JAG Corps Public Affairs

The JAG Corps is actively seeking applications from Sailors desiring conversion to the legalman rating.  Opportunity is limited, so interested Sailors must act quickly.  You must be on active duty, serving in paygrades E-3 through E-5, and have less than 10 years on service on the date of application. Conversion applications are due to the Office of the Judge Advocate General by Feb. 3, 2012, so act quickly.  Those approved for conversion would report to the Naval Justice School at Newport, R.I., in June 2012 to attend legalman training and paralegal education. For more information on the legalman rating, please visit jag.navy.mil.  To learn the requirements for conversion to legalman, review JAG Instruction 1440.1E, here.  If you would like to ask questions about legalman conversion, please consult your Command Career Counselor, or send your questions via e-mail to LNConversions@navy.mil.
