YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 14, 2020) - Tomoko Matsuzawa, Japan Ministry of defense director for defense cooperation in the Indo-Pacific Region, leads overview training on legal framework related to Women, Peace & Security (WPS) to Sailors attending an U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Gender in Security Cooperation Course held Jan. 14 – 15, 2020 on Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka. The course was developed in response to the need for comprehensive education on WPS within the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command theater and meets training requirements outlined in the U.S. WPS Act of 2017 and U.S. strategy on WPS.
