Lt. Rosemarie Lombardi served as the assistant staff judge advocate for Carrier Strike Group ONE while embarked on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), accompanied by a carrier air wing, a cruiser, and a six-ship Destroyer Squadron, as it operated in the Pacific on a six-month deployment. She consulted on rules of engagement and use of force for South China Sea presence operations and multinational exercises.
